I’ve been a professor, writer-editor, media and political consultant, critic and blogger, writing about everything from cell biology and cars to the story of a great labor union. I’ve written about jazz for many years. in 2013 I published an accaimed book of interviews with the great Charles Mingus: Mingus Speaks.
Now it’s politics. In Rhode Island and New York I had a successful media training business with political and business clients. In 1993-94 I worked with Hillary Clinton and DNC staff on health care reform. I’ve been involved in politics and blogging ever since, first in jazzinsideandout.com, now in goodmanspeaks.
