One Reader’s Reaction

Trumpworld Begins will not please everybody since it’s my contentious perspective on the madness in Trump’s first term. Anyhow, here are some reactions from a friend. Now, please make your move and buy a copy here (US) or here (Mexico). Thank you.

The big news this week that Trump pulled out of the Iran Deal will get little if any reaction from his supporters. Like many others, Michael Fuchs in The Guardian predicts potentially dire results. So much digital ink just washes over the unwashed. They have other more immediate needs, like the rising cost of gasoline or cribbage at the local bar on Saturday night. —from “It Don’t Mattah,” 5/12/2018

Trump’s most egregious pick so far may be fast-food CEO Andrew Pudzer (sic) for Secretary of Labor. Instead of people, the Putzer has proposed automation for restaurants “because machines were ‘always polite, they always upsell, they never take a vacation, they never show up late, there’s never a slip-and-fall or an age, sex or race discrimination case.’” They don’t give you shit about minimum wage either. —from “How Do You Like Trump’s Cabinet?” 12/10/2016

He’s been called the worst secretary of state we’ve ever had, and lately has been in a simmering feud with President Trump (which both have denied). In a July meeting at the Pentagon, Trump apparently was spouting grave nuclear nonsense and later Rex [Tillerson], furious, reportedly called the president a “moron” or, by some accounts, “a fucking moron.” Most news accounts have avoided the expletive, but it’s perfectly appropriate. There is a difference between a moron and a fucking moron. House Speaker Paul Ryan is a moron; Donald Trump is a fucking moron. —from “ Tillerson, Corker and Harvey Weinstein,” 10/14/2017
