At the Hotel Ceasefire, Geneva

Vance: They put us up at this crummy hotel while the boss signs his ass away at Versailles. I don’t think he even knows how many disastrous treaties were signed there. And now the peace talks here are going to start again but will probably end up in the toilet.

Rubio: Israel screwed it up again. They can’t leave well enough alone in Lebanon. So the talks were put off. Nothing will change while Bibi is still in power.

Lutnick: This joint doesn’t even give us room service. I tried to get coffee and a Danish this morning.

And the news on our Washington Post is that Iran is closing Hormuz again because Israel keeps attacking Lebanon. Why are we always last to get the news?

Rubio: The boss will have to break with Bibi, but now he has this clown Pulte firing everybody in Intelligence just when we need them most. He’s back to killing people in drug boats, putting down Puerto Rico again―calling it garbage― covering for Hegseth, still bringing up Greenland, hosting a Roman circus on the White House lawn, saying there are no limits to his power. And he pays no attention to any of us. We are just figureheads.

Vance: Why does everyone keep badmouthing America? I made some news talking to Israeli cabinet members, telling them to be grateful for all the weapons and aid they get from us. They think they can bomb their way to national security, and they keep pulling the rug out from the boss’s efforts to get to an agreement.

Rubio: I wish he would just go back to playing golf.

Lutnick: All he does is cause controversy and mistrust. Look at the Reflecting Pool fiasco. He shows off a document arguing he’s more powerful than Attila the Hun, Genghis Khan, Napoleon, Stalin, Mao and Hitler.  And keeps saying, Israel will “do as I say.”

Vance: Well, the White House entourage is coming here for more talks, and that’s a good sign.

Rubio: Good sign of what? The break with Israel is coming.
